Changsu Kristopher Lee
Owner, Korean Dad Restaurant

Changsu Kristopher Lee is a longtime faculty member at Eastern Maine Community College, specializing in mathematics and business. Beginning his teaching in 2000, he finds the most fulfillment watching students finally have their a-ha moment developing foundational skills in courses they previously found difficult.

Additional work he has done for the college namely includes running the international program for students that come from all over the world, including Korea, China, Japan, Brazil, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates, Peru, India, Nepal, and more. Those with basic English knowledge beforehand frequently graduate with strong or near native fluency. He received his education from University of Maine at Presque Isle as an international student from South Korea with a degree in political science. His master’s degree comes from Husson University in 2000.

Starting from his military service in his origin country of South Korea, he has always been an adventure-seeker, going on to naturalize in the United States and found a restaurant called “Korean Dad” which serves authentic dishes for small-town locals.

Korean Dad also hosts various ethnic restaurants such as Hungarian, German, Jewish, Cuban, Nigerian, Cajun, and Jamaican each day of the week on 1492 State Street, Veazie.

Jim Pineau is a . Jim joined the SBA in 2014. In this role he provides organizational representation and administration of SBA’s programs to Maine’s small business community. Jim has a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication from the University of Southern Maine and is a Veteran of the United States Marine Corps. He lives in Orono with his wife, Paige Holmes and their two sons.

Landon Cornelius is a professional marketer with a focus on strategic brand design. He is the founder of Cornelius Design Studio where he helps businesses get noticed and develop a memorable presence in the market through branding. Landon has had the privilege of working with brands in real estate, medical technology, eyewear, and various professional services, among others.

He is also a Marketing Specialist at WBRC, an architecture and engineering firm in Bangor, Maine. There he recently led the 120-year-old company through a rebrand. Landon has formal training in both advertising and fine art but considers himself a lifelong learner. This blend of creativity and business acumen provides him with a unique approach to marketing and brand design.

Adam Clark is a personal trainer and business owner who motivates, educates, and inspires people to get the results they deserve.

In addition to leading his gym, he is a speaker, author, and coach. He published his first book, “Play Like A Champion Every Day: Your Guide to Being Your Best You” in 2019 and his second book, “A Magical Ride: A Story About Overcoming Adversity” is due out this fall.

Adam has been a speaker at fitness conferences and also delivers leadership and motivational talks to businesses, schools, and organizations. He is a Power of Positive Leadership Certified Trainer through The Jon Gordon Companies.

In Adam’s spare time, he enjoys reading, writing, traveling, running, watching “The Office” and hanging out with his two cats (oh year – his wife too!).

Heather Lux is the Founder and CEO of True North Beauty, an innovative Chaga-infused skincare manufacturing and lifestyle brand. Heather’s passion for skincare led her on this entrepreneurial journey, but it’s not just about the skincare.  Heather started True North with one goal in mind – to empower women to feel confident in all moments of her life.

Heather launched True North in 2016 while continuing her full-time career as Director of Organizational Development. With over 20 years of expertise in organizational design, innovation, and human resources, Heather has been integral in starting-up high-speed manufacturing facilities that turning around underperforming business units as well hiring and developing top talent nationally.

Heather has always had a passion for business and coaching. Her newest venture focuses on supporting the leadership of emerging businesses. Drawing from her corporate roots and entrepreneurial insight, Heather helps businesses build sustainability through thoughtful organizational design and strategic leadership development.

Jenn is a business coach and financial management consultant, serving small to midsize businesses throughout the State of Maine. As a business coach, she guides her clients to success by working with them to create a long-term vision for their company by developing actionable plans to help them realize their vision to buy, sell or grow a business. As a financial management consultant, she utilizes her financial strength through careful analysis of past trends and future objectives. 

She is dedicated and passionate about helping business owners create meaningful, achievable goals and uncovering untapped opportunities to grow their bottom line and realize a dream to either buy, sell or expand their business. 

Jenn is an ex banker of 20 years, she started Trinity Business Brokers in 2017, when she got the idea to launch her consulting business after spending many years working with rockstar business owners who knew their trade inside and out, but didn’t fully understand how their choices affected their financial bottom line. In her career, she has been dedicated and passionate about helping business owners create meaningful, achievable goals and uncovering untapped opportunities to grow their bottom line and realize their dreams. 
She is a Bangor area native who believes strongly in giving back to her community. She currently serves as a Brewer City Councilor, one the Target Board of Directors and a past President for the Bangor Area Recovery Network and the Eastern Maine Medical Center Auxiliary. In 2016, she was recognized for her work at Holyoke Haven, a woman’s sober living home with the “2 Those Who Care” award. This November, Jenn will be on the election ballot in her hometown, seeking to represent Brewer constituents in Augusta as a Legislator for District 20.

2022 Schedule and Sessions

We have a full day of awesome sessions planned for you on September 28th.

Come ready to work on your business (or idea!) with peers. All sessions will be introduced and facilitated by experts and include worksheets designed to walk you through the steps needed to get to the topic goal.

While the topic can be the same, the goal can be very different for businesses depending on what stage it’s in. That’s why some sessions have two sub-topics, so you can work on the topic best suited for where your business is today.
